Where exactly are the Felizitas Wald-Chalets located?

The Felizitas Wald-Chalets are located in San Felice sulla Mendola (St. Felix am Deutschnonsberg), South Tyrol, directly on the border with Trentino.

How do I reach the Felizitas Wald-Chalets by car?

From Bolzano take the MeBo expressway to Merano-Sinich, then towards Lana, on SS238 Gampenstraße via the Gampen Pass and “Unsere Liebe Frau im Walde” to the entrance of the chalets opposite the “Tischlerei Kofler.”

What time can I check in on the day of arrival?

On the day of arrival, your chalet will be available from 3:00 PM.

By what time must I leave the chalet on the day of departure?

On the day of departure, we kindly ask you to vacate the chalet by 10:00 AM. A late check-out is possible in the low season.

Which chalets allow pets?

Pets are allowed on request in chalets MOMO, NONO1, NONO2, and UNO. Chalets Pino and Karom are pet-free.

Are there wheelchair-accessible chalets?

Yes, chalet MOMO is wheelchair-accessible.

Are the chalets ecologically built?

Yes, they are glue-free solid wood constructions, suspended above the ground to protect nature.

Are the chalets equipped with kitchens?

Yes, all chalets have fully equipped kitchens with stove, cutlery, crockery, pots, pans, kettle, toaster, and moka coffee maker.

Are towels and bed linen provided?

Yes, bath and hand towels, hairdryer, cleaning supplies, and drying rack are included.

Is there Wi-Fi in the chalets?

Yes, free Wi-Fi is available throughout your stay.

How are the chalets heated?

The chalets are heated with a central pellet heating system and have underfloor heating set to 22 °C, which can be adjusted individually.

Wellness & Relaxation

How does the forest sauna work?

The Finnish forest sauna is only switched on upon request for environmental reasons. Cost: €20 / 2 hours. Please bring your own towels and bathrobes.

Are there infrared cabins in the chalets?

Yes, in chalets Pino, Nono2, and Uno. Instructions can be found in the chalet information folder.

Can I use the fire pit at the chalet?

Yes, with prior arrangement and only under adult supervision. Be careful of fire risk as the chalets are in a forest area.

Is there catering at the resort?

The chalets are self-catering. In the surrounding area you will find restaurants, farm taverns, pizzerias, and shops.

Where can I buy groceries?

We recommend the grocery store in the village, offering high-quality regional products, Fair-Trade items, and organic meat and cold cuts.

Yes, pure spring water of excellent quality.

How is waste disposed of?

Waste is separated and placed in the designated containers at the covered collection area at the entrance.

How can I pay the bill?

The bill can be settled the evening before departure or on the morning of departure, either in cash or with Visa/MasterCard.

What is the tourist tax?

€2.60 per person/night (from 14 years old).

San Felice waterfall, Rio Sass canyon, Novella river park, Felixer Weiher, Dolomites, Merano, Bolzano, Trento, Lake Caldaro, Lake Garda, castles, fortresses, and the Gampen bunker.

Rainguthof wildlife park, Ulfi Snowpark, toboggan runs, igloo building, ski lessons from 3 years old.

Road cycling: Mendola & Gampenpass; MTB: Rankipino, Le Maddalene Trails; Circular bike path: Fondo (25 km).

Rafting at Lake Santa Giustina, climbing, golf on the 18-hole Dolomiti Golf course.

What winter activities are available?

Skiing (Merano 2000, Vigiljoch, Pfelders, Schwemmalm, Schnalstal Glacier), snowshoeing, sledding, ice skating, igloo building directly at the chalet.

Are there surcharges for pets?

Yes, a surcharge of €15 per day per pet applies.

How much is the final cleaning?

Final cleaning is €110 per chalet. Chalet UNO: €80.

How much do additional guests cost?
  • Children 0–3.99 years: €10 / day
  • Children/teenagers 4–17.99 years: €20 / day
  • Adults 18+: €30 / day
Are there minimum stays?

Yes, the minimum stay is 2 nights. In high season and at New Year, minimum stay is 5 nights.

Can vouchers be purchased?

Yes, vouchers can be purchased via the form on our website.

Practical Notes

How is ventilation handled in the forest chalets?

For optimal indoor climate, we recommend airing twice a day. In winter, please do not leave windows tilted open.

How do I use the oven in the chalet?

The oven is only for creating a cozy atmosphere, not for primary heating. Instructions are in the chalet folder.

Can the dog roam freely?

No, dogs must always be on a leash.

Is plastic used?

We avoid plastic, except for selected designer chairs in chalet Karom.
